What to Expect

Here at NLBC, you will find a friendly, inviting and genuine church family with a sincere desire to grow in Christ. Every service is about an hour in length and each service is different from the next. Our services are designed to exhort and edify the Christian with traditional hymns and fervent Bible preaching.

In an ever changing world, NLBC is a refreshing, timeless, Bible-Believing Baptist Church that is Independent and fundamental in doctrine.  We are a family-oriented church with an energetic mix of all ages and backgrounds. Anyone and everyone are invited and welcomed.

New Life Baptist Church provides several service opportunities each week. Each service is unique. Below is our weekly schedule:

Meet the Pastor

Pastor Baxter was born in Southern Maryland and has lived in this area for over 30 years. He accepted the Lord as a teenager and later gained assurance of his salvation in 2000. The Lord called him to preach in 2001. He married his incredible wife and high-school sweetheart, Amanda, in 2002. After obtaining his degree in Pastoral Theology, they returned from college to his hometown in Charles County. There, they served in the church that he and his wife had served before college and was there until the Lord called him to Pastor and serve the great people at New Life Baptist Church in May 2018. Pastor Baxter loves and cares for those he serves and he appreciates the privilege of serving the Lord. He enjoys life and loves anything outdoors. Pastor Baxter and Amanda have three children, Madison, Lilian and Camden.
